Jon Kuntz

Jonathon Kuntz is a Aquatic Biologist interested in using Stable Isotopes to further understand life history events in threatened and endangered species. In 2017 he received a BSc in Environmental and Organismal Biology from the University of Utah, where he used Stable Isotopes to understand trophic level, feeding behavior, and migration patterns in Great Hammerhead sharks. He has since conducted research in Mangrove and A’a Lava Forests for the USDA Forest Service and the University of Hawai’i, before joining the Hobbs Lab for Longfin Smelt otolith preparation, aging, and Stable Isotope Analysis.
