Zachary Bess

I have worked on projects focusing on salmonid otoliths and otoliths of other estuarine species for age determination and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (IC-PMS). I worked on projects looking at the effects of wastewater effluent upon growth and abundance of invasive inland silversides. I also worked to process samples of bull trout from Flathead Lake for a project collaboration between Dr. Hobbs and Dr. Clint Muhlfeld of USGS.

I am involved in an ongoing project to determine species differences between managed and tidal ponds of the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project as well collecting samples for the project’s mercury study.
