Arthur Barros

I am a masters student in the Graduate Group in Ecology at UC Davis, working with the Hobbs Lab to study the conservation and ecology of native fishes in the San Francisco Estuary. My work focuses on the early life history and ecology of Longfin Smelt (Spirinchus thaleichthys) in the North and South San Francisco Bay Area tidal marshes. I completed my undergraduate at UC Davis in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology and have been studying estuarine ecology with the Hobbs Lab for the past three years. I hope to take my research into a career focused on tidal marsh restoration and conservation.
