Jonathan Cook

I am a conservation ecologist with a background in fisheries management and wetland restoration.

My main interests lie in species conservation and restoration, with a particular focus on mitigating impacts associated with human-wildlife resource competition. For my Master’s thesis, I assessed fish response to large scale restoration actions by analyzing how landscape attributes impacted habitat quality and species use. In addition, I’ve worked extensively on evaluating drivers of decline for threatened and endangered species, particularly Delta Smelt and Longfin Smelt in San Francisco Bay.
