Sami graduated from UC Davis in 2021 with a BS in Marine and Coastal Sciences and an applied minor in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. Sami is interested in understanding the effects of water diversions on native anadromous fish species in California. He is currently working on understanding the trophic pathway linkage between juvenile Chinook salmon and the endangered California Least Tern. In his free time, he officiates youth soccer matches and keeps up a hobby of hiking.
